Cinderella's Ballgown

Into The Woods

This is the largest project I have ever worked on. The dress consist of 13 skirt layers of tulle, lace, and heavy gold satin (Including swags), 3 bodice layers, synthetic whale bones, hundreds of AB rhinestones, and over 60 hours of work.

I was so scared to take on the build due to the limited resources and price of the dress. However, I am beyond happy with how the final product turned out and cannot wait for more projects like it!

Oberon's Doublet

A Midsummer Night's Dream

This project is one of my personal favorites! I am great friends with the designer of this show, so it was really fun to collaborate on what we thought the final look should be. The doublet is built in a sort of mock-corsetry style out of some upholstery fabric and ball cap bills.

Dance Concert

Dance costumes are their own beast as I learned with this project. Though in comparison to the other pieces in our dance concert, this one was relatively simple. I was given four identical dresses (aside from color) that needed some work to be stage ready. I took the base dresses and added a lettuce hem as well as applique to make the neckline more modest.

Sandy's Prom Dress

Grease

This dress gave me far more of a headache than I was expecting. It is a combination of two different dresses with added layers of tulle and some appliques.

Nightie

The Secret Garden

When I came to Anderson University in my first semester, the Theater Department was putting on The Secret Garden. As an introductory project and to test me for my skill level, the costume designer tasked me with building this simple nightgown for Mary.
